The plan is for this theme to eventually have both a dark and light mode, and to have them automatically match your system theme. (That's probably somewhat skewed to my preferences, as I'm one of those "light during day, dark during night" types.) But yeah, I gotta rewrite a bunch more stuff before that becomes feasible at the moment.
Icons for boards is also on my todo list at some point. I just haven't gotten around to reworking those parts yet!
So I made the (rather elementary) snafu of updating my laptop to the new macOS developer betas and it's broken the dev environment I have for the forum. And only the one for the forum. So that's not fun. Luckily I have another laptop I can potentially use, but it's gonna be inconvenient and I might slow down on changing stuff.
Anyway, I added more topic icons to choose from when making a new thread. Enjoy!
I've finally got my dev environment working again, so I can test some of the stuff I've been working on properly. Expect the pace of changes to pick up a bit again.
I've started by redesigning quotes and, if a quote is particularly long, making it collapse to a shorter height with a lil button to expand it.

Hey, you'll never guess what... you can spoiler things now!

Extremely useful and helpful new feature indeed, thanks Bloat!
...I've heard rumours Bloat has needed to buy extra space in the server spaces just for their huge self, dunno about you... :3

I would appreciate a custom BBCode tag for <hr> to better be able to divide posts if one wants to reply to a bunch of people.

Not suuuuper needed, but maybe it might be fun to have a little tagline feature, beneath forum topics? Gives folks a more in depth idea about what a thread may be about! Might be a little redundant but I think it could also be fun!

For whatever reason, when viewing on an iPhone in iOS, I'd have to put the device in landscape just to access the "New Posts" tab. Not a massive end-of-the-world type of bug but one I figured would be worth flagging just in case. :O

That's quick 'n' easy! It's not been styled up but it's there now. HoofusDoofus wrote:

I can look into it! phpBB makes it easy to do that for forums, but having it for threads isn't something it does out of the box. Webdev hat on says you ideally want the title to be self explanatory anyway, as that's the most prominent bit (as it's also the link, the page title, and so on) NellThompson wrote:

That's kinda intentional, as I didn't want to have the mobile layout be too cluttered. I could look into copying over the menu that desktop uses if there's a preference for having multiple options there.

Sorry that things have slowed down a ton lately. Has been a combination of factors including, but not limited to: work being stressful af, European heatwave murder, an injured foot, and plural system shenanigans meaning I've not been fronting very much at all.
Hopefully will get loaded back on the train soon enough

It's totally okay! You're allowed to take breaks wideload, goodness knows I've not been as active around here the last week n a half as I normally am! While the heatwave we've been going through over in the US ain't as bad as the one in europe it's been nasty and really draining social energy
Hopfully things chill out for you soon and you can sprawl and slosh about as you please, butterblob!
