Roundgenderness!

Hey Y'all! Figured now would be a good time to talk about something very near and dear to my heart, and something that I personally identify with: Being Roundgender!

It's something that means something a little different to everyone, so please keep in mind that what I say is really just one interpretation but:

To me, size and enormity (Be it Fat-based or Inflation-Based, given my particular tastes) are things that are more than just attractive to me! Don't get me wrong, big critters are hot and make me melt! But I connect with round stuff in a really personal way; There's something really special to me about being allowed to take up space, encouraged to even! It emboldens me to be as authentically myself as I want, like I'm allowed to encompass multiple things and really wear my vulnerabilities on my sleeve.

In that way being enormously fat (and or/inflated) are expressions of comfort to me! When you're lost in an ocean of yourself, you don't need to worry about curating your presentation, you're sunken into a thick protective layer that insulates and cradles you, that carries you and accentuates your every inch. It's both armor and adornment, a testament to existing as loud and proud as you are!

Being huge is just,, what makes me feel safe, makes me feel my most self!

I don't really connect with the idea of having a thin body, like for example I can't really feel anything playing as a normal sized character in tabletops. To me, I'm just! Naturally huge! It's who and what I see myself as, and something I'm actually transitioning more towards with IRL gaining.

That isn't to say gaining is a prerequisite to roundgenderness though! enormity and roundness can be manifested and expressed in so many different ways and there's no one proper way to go about it! I'm merely providing my own gaining/transition as an example of roundgenderism in practice, I suppose!

All that is to say, as I've come to understand it, Roundgenderness can be described like this:
Being Roundgender is the idea that being enormous, through fat, inflation, or other means are extremely important and personally fulfilling to the roundgender individual. It's what makes the roundgender individual feel complete! And since that state of enormity is so inherently tied to the idealized/actual self, tying that into gender is just the next logical step! As that is the truest/most innate part of who you are!

I've kind of come to view it as it's own thing that can very well also be an umbrella term for more specialized forms of size-based gender expression! And it's something that's really, really important to me!

So important, that my good Friend Adeline and I actually worked together to design a roundgender prideflag! (which, you can conveniently see in the background of my forum signature, beheh)

Image

The roundgender flag is composed of three stripes with a large layered semicircle arching over and across the stripes from the left!

Starting with the stripes:

Blue represents water/liquid inflation
White Represents Air/Helium Inflation
The Cream Yellow represents softness and fat

As for the layered Semicircle, The shape itself a symbol for roundness and enormity:

Pink represents love and adoration for expressions of enormity - a blush, for size!
The Golden Yellow represents prosperity, a growing bounty!
and the Deep Purple Blue's meaning is twofold: It's to both represent vastness, while also representing blueberry inflation!

Edit: Moved this thread to general, as it encompasses both of this forum's mainstay topics!

X2 Edit Combo: Reworked some verbiage, I wasn't really vibing with my phrasing! "Roundgenderness" feels a little better to me, makes it feel more clearer that it's more an identity and not purely an ideology

Thank y'all for letting me gush for a bit, beheh, this is something I'm really passionate about and wanna share with critters! If you've had your own roundgender or adjacent feelings I'd love to hear your thoughts on the matter!

This is genuinely beautiful, thank you Eli for sharing this. :3

I admit, if somehow I were to ever be that successful with getting so fat IRL that I too share the "infinifat" fatness status as my main 'sona, I would definitely lean more female than male. Yet the big reason I'm They/Them is because I 1) Feel odd on trying to decide and 2) Feel content to just...Be, just another fellow living being on the planet. The idea of utilising size bigness and breaking through size-norms via this idea of it being a unique expression of the self ala gender is...honestly an idea that I feel has a lot of potential for exploration and well-meaning use.

I also think it better explains a certain connection someone who feels this is them'd feel on fatness and being outside size-norms that isn't steeped in contentious and liable-to-be-twisted tones on it being a kink or fetish (though it can also be that so long as no one's being hurt that shouldn't be, naturally), something that I feel has been a real thorn on the side of this little sub-community for years.

I really like the idea of Roundgenderism, in case that wasn't obvious! I may relate pretty hard to this, actually. Will be interesting to see if anyone else voices their feelings of relating here too soon. ^^

Love this a lot!

In a similar vein, we identify more specifically as "fat woman" rather than just "woman," cause being any other sort of way would feel dysphoric and not true to us

Aww gosh, I'm glad you like the idea of roundgenderness! It's something that's been very instrumental in getting a better feel for myself over the years, I think there's something beautiful in wanting to identify with size more than a traditional binary or other presentatioN!
