The Roundtable does Deadlock! Filling out the streets of the cursed apple....

THATS RIGHT FOLKS,

it occurred to me that I never made a deadlock thread! Which is crazy since I've got a bit of a kin thing going on with Ivy!

So! What is deadlock? A Hero shooter/MOBA hybrid developed by the fine folks over at valve! Yes, THE valve behind Half Life and TF2! It's currently in closed Alpha and currently invite only, but MAN what they have out there for testers to play is kinda insane vis a vis the level of detail and quality....

Set in an alternate history 1930s-ish time period in which the world was introduced to the paranormal and the eldritch, Deadlock takes place in New York, now deemed "The Cursed Apple" since it's rife with all sortsa weird activity! You take on the role of one of the many heroes (mystics?) and team up with others in order to participate in a ritual that will summon an eldritch god into your world, in exchange for the granting of a wish!

The art direction for the game is SO so slick, and the currently available heroes RULE! Incredibly fleshed out in personality and design, I adooooore this cast of characters...

So! Any deadlock enjoyers on da forums? How you feeling about latest patch?

Isn't that game still technically unreleased? Heh, each time "Deadlock" comes back into conversation it really strikes me how bizarre it's both Out There and...y'know, Not. x3

Relatedly to the topic of "Deadlock", I guess if sessions of that game are to be plotted here, would it make sense also to have a Steam group for the folks here too? Can be just a general Roundtable Steam group or more specific to Deadlock or whatever, your call Hoofus, but hey... :O

Been vaguely following the game and playing it just a bit. Am not good at MOBAs (too big brain for me) but quite liked the street brawl mode, it was fun (it's honestly the only gamemode I played online, the main one only with bots still)

Also, Rem my precious sweet baby boy that shall be protected from all the evil in the world

I dunno if I'd really have the energy to be in a steam group! But we could set up a steam friend code swapping thread or something here in the forum!

Street Brawl is fun! Quick and simple, doesnt really rattle your brain, I play it as a warm up before I go MOBA mode! I've heard rumors and whispers of a potential co-op PVE mode but alas don't know much about it...
