Hi y'all! Building out a sort of dungeon crawl, I'd love some ideas on good one-room encounters, not necessarily combat/traps, but in that same vein? Examples:
- A large craggy spire at the center of a cylindrical beach-like room, surrounded at the edges by ocean water, with a door at the opposite end connected to the center by a sandy land-bridge. At the peak is a bell jar containing the key to the next room.
- A deep pit surrounds six smooth stone columns, standing in a row between the entry and exit platforms, at the same height as the tops of the columns. As a player jumps across each one, the columns begin to descend from their weight.
- A shooting gallery with a dozen targets downrange, with a bow and arrows resting on a counter. A player must hit all twelve targets to proceed, and anyone that shoots a bullseye is rewarded with a small purse of coins.
