Vignettes of Vastness: Inflation in writing

Y'know what! We've got plenty of visual artists here and I'm sure we'll see plenty of personal threads and the like for everyone to show off their work in the visual medium! But what of my fellow writers? Got any inflation writing you're particularly proud of? Any stories you REALLY loved and wanna shout out?

I'll start by plugging my own work! I shared this in another thread but I'll share it here again for the sake of bringing something to the (round)table myself: "Maenniversary," a short blueberry inflation story featuring yours truly and my partner, Mae!

Symbiotic Infestation is SO so good, I've come back to reread that one a few times now! Presenting it in a more clinical, research report style was a stroke of genius, it feels really immersive in that way! I think reading about a fungal infection that inflates you is already kind of huffy, but the way it's written makes it feel almost real, in a sense? There's a tangible feeling imparted by goin through the report; fascination and attraction but also an almost kind of exhilaration, like this is something that needs to be monitored and has been so concretely observed puts an extra weight into each word! (Ironic enough, given the topic at hand, bweheh!)

Putting it here because it has more inflation in it than WG, but-

This is the "read my book" part of my signature! Holly Perez and Fords' Golden Tour (or just Fords', for short) is my take on the tale that ruined countless of us back in the day, but modernized and altered to become something that resonated with myself a lot more than the original ever could. (At the very least, it's a version of the story that doesn't include the racist caricatures that have been unfortunately tacked onto the side of the kink)

Of course, being me, it could never just be a kink story, so if any of you choose to delve into it, you'll find that only four of twenty-four chapters in it actually contain The Funny in any way, shape, or form. I'd like to hope that it's more of an entertaining read on the whole because of that, however!

Plus, me and my GF have been working on a number of illustrations to include as a part of the chapters, to recapture some of that magic from the original version of the story. Currently 19/24 chapters have been fully illustrated, and I've got a special lil' surprise for once this project with the book is all finished up!

As well, for anybody who chooses to read the book, I hope you also enjoy the little sequel novella that I wrote afterwards, featuring the aftermath of the main story among its main cast, set during the winter of that year.
