Chronicles of Corpulence: Fat/WG in writing

A bit of a sister thread to the writing thread over in the hangar, but!

As mentioned previously, there's gonna be plenty of threadspace dedicated to those beautiful glossy tummy pngs and jpegs and all sorts of visual media! But I'd like to kick off a thread for writers and written work enjoyers to yap a bit, share stuff we've worked on and are proud of, stories we'd really like, maybe even swap advice where possible!

I'll kick us off with two submissions for the pile, both my own writings!

First up, "Growing Bovine!" Which was! A very blushy personal project and exploration in both Fursona TF and rapid WG, mwroohoo.

After that, "User Error" which was a vignette commission I took on, when I wrote a lil more frequently. I'm particularly proud of the way I went about this one! It's a fun lil slice of life look into a permablob's brushes with compression tech, ahee.

And so with that, I ask ye yet again: Give me your supersized scripts, your doughy diatribes, your tomes of tonnage!

Funny, I was thinking we should have a thread for this! I write short stories of a few different subjects, though the most pertinent here are the wide 'n' heavy ones. Of those, my personal highlights include:

The Day of the Slorg (features slob)
— In which Alex, an inventive cyborg bat, manufactures a new form of digestion that unintentionally leaves himself and his fellow cyborgs permanently, ravenously hungry.

Glaztek Origins / Glaztek Revelations / Third part goes here eventually
— A two-parter (with a third on my todo list) chronicling the foundation and rise of Glaztek, the consumer technology company that appears in various works by Glaz/RotundFox.

The One, True Emy / Do Robats Dream of Being Electric Blimps?
— Emy R1's backstory so far, as already described over in the character thread.

The Extreme Obesity Unit (features some very light slob and healthplay elements)
— A wholesome tale of two immobile fat folk bonding and becoming friends, having met at the local medical centre specialising in extremely obese individals. Featuring Nell, also of this forum. My attempt to write something that is (hopefully) interesting despite having protagonists who can't so much as move.

We Live to Serve (features vore and mild slob, sort of noncon weight gain too)
— A tale of magic gone awry, leading to Kim eating much, much more than she bargained for.

There's more on my personal stories website, and most of those are on my Fur Affinity as well.

A lot of my stuff is better served over on the NSFW side, but here are a few of my SFW ones!

Power Word (contains reality shift)
- A short piece I did for a friend's WG/inflation zine. Two friends learn about a new word that has some fattening effects when spoken... or were they always that huge?

All You Can Eat (contains macro, vore, gas and slight slob)
- A request from Sneeve, who's also around here, featuring his skulldragon getting a little too gluttonous at the buffet (and subsequently the rest of the city).

Pizza Stream (contains slob + gas and corruption)
- Self-indulgent piece starring one of my friends' sonas alongside my own sona Luna. While browsing the web, Marcie encounters a particularly massive streamer who's so indulgently slobbish that it spreads to everyone around her...

Love love LOVE the glaztek duology (soon to be trilogy!)

Your ability to mesh both your own critters and worlbuilding with Glaz's while still keeping it feeling true to both and also fresh and fun is HELLA admirable!!

I also adore the Obesity unit, so often immobility (or near immobility) is the endgoal in our vein of storytelling, so seeing it explored as just another state of being and a vessel for a meaningful connection is really beautiful imo!

POWER WORD IS ONE THAT'S LIVED IN MY HEAD RENT FREE SINCE I READ IT, I fucking adooooooore playing around metatextually and the way you went about it was SO incredibly huffy yes but also just really fun! Reality warping is something you see a lot of but it's such a hard thing to actually nail - how do you freeze the idea of change in place in a handful of sentences? But I think you stuck the landing phenomenally, and I LOVE the way you censored out the word. It helps things feel so much more palpable, in a sense? Like even as a reader, you too could be drawn in, it rules

All you can eat also drives me wild, You do decadence and utter indulgence so much justice. Reading it is like being enveloped in a wall of pure desire, in a sense? Its GREAT!!

I've gotten a few stories here and there involving growing huge and hungry, although I haven't written it much. Usually I'm busy with drawing the big stuff to really get a chance to write.

A few story commissions I've gotten:
Stellar Buffet - Immense indulgence featuring Holo.
Big Gain for Big Fame - Sneeve entering an eating contest, featuring DevSoftPaw's characters.
Flabmatter - Sneeve entering a reality made of decadence and sweets, featuring Mallory from SpeciesSaladCake.

That said, I did write one story, mostly for the fun of it:
A Skulldragon's Feast - A little dive into what a skulldragon does on an average day.

This was from a good while ago, but I still think about it every now and then, heh.
