VHS VIEWINGZ: An Analog Delite

A thread in which I talk about one of my favorite projects from Radio TV Solutions Member, Scorpy!: VHS Viewingz! A Monthly series where Scorpy blows the dust off his VHS player and shows off a curated selection of thrifted and secondhand VHS tapes! I greatly, GREATLY appreciate scorpy's fascination with analog media and just, general retro weirdness (see: His fucking incredible fucked up websites) and this series in particular is really fun, I feel like Scorpy has a REALLY good eye for fascinating or otherwise just, fucking funny little tapes. Not to mention, the edited down youtube versions usually have lists of what tapes are watched, and typically link to archives of those tapes if you'd prefer to watch sans commentary!

Oh heck yeah, this is VERY much to my level! Never heard of this before but I'll gladly watch this later while dealing with yet another heatwave. :3 ) ) )

I've gone back to dealing with VHS stuff, initially as an effort to archive our family home movies in a new digital format Just in Case, since the Summer of 2024 after watching a Brutalmoose "Mystery Tapes Live" Twitchstream and while it takes a bunch of effort on my part to commit to more digitisations, let alone combining recording drafts due to a weird audio "hiccup" quirk my VCR has, I always desire to do more at some point via the tapes I have or may acquire later (I've even made NEW bootleg tapes for stuff!).

...I mean, this kinda colours why I have Alek as an alt 'sona now buuuuuuut yeah, I blather, stoked to check this out!
OK, 3 things now I've finished up the "main part" of that video:

1) Yeah, I got charmed by it too, it toes the line nicely between something that's fun to chuckle at but is made so earnestly and impressively where it counts that its hard not to fund unironically fun too

2) Some of that custom music was really surprisingly good

and

3) Gosh, watching a video about skiing and snowboarding that emphasises the Winteryness of it all was an AMAZING decision on a heatwave afternoon so thanks for that too, haha.

Not going to do comments on everything else so I don't dominate things here but I'm liking this and feeling that channel will get another subscriber soon, indeed~
