To give an actual review:

I'd say overall this was very cool, glad I played it. It needed some work on the gameplay front, the puzzles were good but there's a lot of backtracking and frequently getting interrupted by Vanilla Pokemon Firered sucks. I think there's too much buildup to the weird stuff happening once you do the initial steps, and having to essentially play Vanilla up until you reach the SS Anne with the exception of one very well done scene is too much IMO.

I think random encounters probably should have been fully disabled once you reach the abyss version of the SS Anne or shortly thereafter, they don't contribute anything to the game past that point because you instagib everything outside of the single scripted bossfight. Having to constantly stop and buy repels and dump inventory items so I could scroll faster because none of them do anything really didn't add anything. Trainer battles can be left in in case a player feels the need to grind a bit for said one required bossfight.

Story is a lot of fun, music is fun, custom graphics are excellent, no notes there. I wasn't present for the solving of the initial ARG but major props for actually publishing solutions after it got solved so the game is playable forever instead of being essentially lost media if you weren't part of a very small ingroup. I would definitely say the steps here are significantly more cryptic than the DR Weird Route, there is absolutely no way anybody would solve this on their own without the guide. Apparently if you actually play through the game normally a bunch of NPCs are edited to hint at the Abyss Route, but even with that. Some of the puzzle steps later on are pretty esoteric too but I think someone who takes careful notes could solve them.

I will admit a decent chunk of the references went over my head because I'm too young. Fundamentally you need to have been involved in the late 90s early 2ks rumor scene for these games to get most of those and I was either not born or 1-4 years old. I think the story still works even if you don't know any of the references to old pokemon rumors and fake leaks/images.

I watched a friend play through it and even helped with some bits of guidance here and there, I really appreciate all the effort put into making this hack. I enjoyed it, it was a great time!
